5 Summer Highlights with Sag Harbor Honey

As the summer season draws to a close, we at Sag Harbor Honey are taking a moment to reflect on the milestones and incredible experiences from summer 2024. From family adventures to beekeeping, here are the top 5 summer highlights that made this summer one to remember!

Sun Kissed Days with the Family

Summer is our favorite time of year, and this year was no exception. We spent time outdoors, soaking up the sun and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Lucas, our oldest son, learned to ride his bike, bringing smiles to the faces of our whole family! Meanwhile, Johnny, our youngest, and our bubbly golden doodle, Maggie, reminded us to embrace every moment.

Beekeeping in Full Swing

Summer is a busy season for beekeeping, and we had our hands full with harvesting, swarm control, and mite treatments to keep the bees thriving. The health and productivity of our hives is never an afterthought at Sag Harbor Honey! The harvest this summer was particularly sweet, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Mountain Climbing Madness

Believe it or not, between hanging with our kids and tending to the hives, we found time for a new adventure – mountain climbing! My husband John and I traveled to Brazil to tackle this challenge, and it was truly unforgettable. While reaching the summit was scary, it reminded us that every moment counts in life, and to be grateful for the life we have and love we are surrounded by.

Pumpkin Spice Honey Launch

As we bid farewell to summer, we’re excited to reintroduce our fall favorite: pumpkin spice creamed honey! Always fresh, this fall batch features real spices and our pure, raw, unfiltered honey, straight from the hive and free from any chemicals or artificial flavors. Nothing says fall like a wholesome pumpkin spice latte or a warm piece of spiced honey toast.

Join Us at Upcoming Fall Festivals

As always, we love connecting with our community, and we’re excited to to attend two festivals this season.
First up is the Maritime Festival in Greenport on September 21-22, followed by the Clam Chowder Feast in Montauk on October 12-13.
